“The Not So Great Shopping Reef”

Urban waste is the greatest environmental pollutant, sadly linked to the current urban commercial development model.

In this work discarded plastic shopping bags are metamorphosed into Coral Reefs,transforming this synthetic materials into organic shapes, emulating the same patterns that nature follows, into works endowed with artistic value . By actively working with gathered discarded plastic debris, I´m intercepting the waste stream to our oceans and striving to inspire others to rethink plastic waste in creative ways that promote sustainable solutions.
